8.10.10

The lyrics from The Long Winters' first album are among John's most veiled in meaning. This song is heartbreaking in the way a foreign film can be with the subtitles turned off; the feeling of something profound because of the characters involved, but without enough information to know why, exactly.

It's one of my favorite TLW songs, and the second in the series of clips shown here before the next show at The Triple Door on Saturday, August 14. (Tickets)
