Justin Dylan Renney approached me a while back with a bunch of footage he shot for a music video of the band Sirens Sister. He had rented a space with them and spent a day setting it up before completely destroying both the set, and the band with paint.
To me, the footage lent itself to a story that had three separate chapters: dark/ominous, clean/safe, dirty/dangerous.
Once we agreed on the story I cut it together into the movie you see here.
The shot of Zach Davidson with the paint being poured over his head (and subsequently into his mouth) was done in one take. It showed an amount of self-control I can't believe every time I see it.
